Pre-Hurricane Services
1.Hurricane proofing Windows (Preparation)
When you enlist Hurricane Guy® as your disaster management team, we will promptly visit your house, measure your windows, and customize boards to simplify your protection process in case of a hurricane.*
2.Storage
- On-site: Once Hurricane Guy® has customized your
boards, we will store them for you in an easily accessible
location at your home. The boards will be labeled for increased
implementation efficiency.
- Hurricane Center:
If there is not a suitable storage area at your home, Hurricane Guy® will store your custom boards at our Hurricane Center.
3.Video Catalogue
In order to ease your insurance claim process in case of hurricane damage, Hurricane Guy® will video catalogue every room in your home. A DVD will be created and placed in your Hurricane Evacuation Kit which will be presented to you upon completion of pre-hurricane services.
4.Electronic Record Storage
Hurricane Guy® will create an electronic record of all of your family’s irreplaceable information. This includes birth certificates…
5.Hotels (Premier Partners)
Being a Hurricane Guy® customer not only offers you great services,
but we also provide an extensive network of Premier Partners.
These hotels and resorts provide priority reservations in evacuation
cities, discounted rooms, and free upgrades if available.
6.Evacuation Checklist
Hurricane Guy® offers a comprehensive check list for you and
your family to evacuate safely.
7.Vertical Parking
Hurricane Guy® will offer safe parking for your vehicle(s) at a local high rise parking garage, keeping your car(s) safe from any possible flood waters.
72-hour services
8.Boarding windows
When a threatening Hurricane is within 72 hours of possible landfall in New Orleans, Hurricane Guy® will automatically come out and hang your pre-measured window shields to secure your home’s windows from strong winds and flying debris.
9.Securing Out-Door Furniture
While Hurricane Guy® is at your house protecting your windows,
we will also secure your yard furniture in the manner you described
in your Hurricane Guys agreement.
10.Remove Items From Your Refrigerator
In anticipation of a long-term power outage, Hurricane Guy®
will remove all perishable items from your refrigerator to prevent
having to discard a spoiled appliance. We can label and place
them in cold storage facility with generator power back up.
